Fanā or Annihilation is one of the two states of a Sufi practitioner. To attain Fanā everything should be forfeited. This not only parting away with everything we like. It means forfeiting one's ego, feelings, ethics, judgements, differences, etc. and only submitting oneself to the will of God.
